Tricia's Bio

 

I never considered myself “good” at anything. I was never afraid to try and to give it my best, but I never seemed to truly excel at anything…until I found fitness! On a personal level as well as professional level, things just clicked for me. So it was born, a personal hobby and my professional career!

 

I had always been active growing up. I was involved in baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, racket ball and track. I loved the competition and belonging to a team. I loved being active and improving my skills and physicality along the way but I never seemed to excel within the confines of the sports I played. I also realized I would never be able to make a career out of the team sports I was involved in. I soon discovered that I loved being in the gym. The art and results of Lifting weights, developing and improving my physical self, challenging and pushing myself and others around me to be the best they could be was something I enjoyed…and best of all, I was good at it!

 

I accepted my first fitness job at the age of 20 and LOVED everything about it! However, as things sometimes go, I entered a dark and confusing time in my life…I made a series of bad choices that altered my intended path to my goal.

 

I got married and then divorced in less than 2 years. The divorce and stress it brings led to me to a series of additional poor decisions, resulting in me being fired from my dream position as manager of a fitness center. In turn I moved away from fitness and jumped from job to job for the next 6-9 months…I was lost and confused.

 

I knew I needed to do something to get my life back on track and find something I enjoyed doing. After pondering the situation, my choices and options, I realized that I was happiest and most full filled was when I was in THE GYM…I finally got that AH-HA moment! So off to Eastern Illinois University I went to learn everything I could about exercise science.

 

Here are my achievements since that decision:-B.S. Exercise Science-M.S. Exercise Science (emphasis on cardiac rehab)-National Academy of Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer-Paul Check Core and Back Specialist-TRX Certified-Currently working on becoming an NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist.

 

I have worked with people from all walks of life in direct 1-on-1 training, group personal training, semi-private personal training and for over 10 years, I have trained the trainers as fitness Director at a local health and fitness center.

 

My true passion is education. As a trainer I love teaching my clients how to better themselves and watch them grow and improve and utilize the skills and techniques I have taught them. As a manager I loved training the trainers and helping them become better at what they do on a professional level and even more, I love learning from them as well to develop myself to my full potential.

 

NOW, as owner of my own fitness studio, my passion and goal is 2-fold:

1) Be the best trainer I can be and continue my own development to help those I train!

2) Create the best fitness experience possible for all of my members for maximum results Come on in, check us out and see what we have to offer! I look forward to meeting all of you!

 

 

 

 

Josh's Bio

I started exercising when I was going thru some hardships in my life. I used the mindset “where the body goes, the mind will follow”.  At first I used physical activity just to get my mind off of things. Then it became more then just a coping mechanism.  I really started to enjoy it!! Becoming healthy and staying healthy has been a priority in my life for quite some time now. I feel it’s very important to take care of ourselves so we in turn can help others.  I am now a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. This will be the first step in many, increasing my education and knowledge, so I can put my very best foot forward in helping you obtain your fitness and health goals.
